Gen Breedlove held eight major commands: 17th Supreme Allied Commander Europe (and Commander of U.S. European Command), Commander of U.S. Air Forces Europe (and Commander of Air Component Command), and Commander 3rd US Air Force. He also commanded the 8th, the 56th and the 31st Fighter Wings, the 27th Fighter Group, and the 80th Fighter Squadron. Senior staff positions include Vice Chief of Staff of the US Air Force, Director of USAF Plans and Operations A3/5, and Vice Director for Plans and Policy, DJ-5 on the US Joint Staff. Currently he is CEO of Emerald Coast Strategic Solutions, is a Distinguished Professor of the Practice at Georgia Tech’s Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, and serves on the Board of Directors at the Atlantic Council.
